How do I find the Inn On The Green?

The Inn On The Green is on the A29 in Ockley, 8 miles south of Dorking.

From the north, follow the A24 towards Horsham until you reach the junction with the A29 to Bognor Regis.  Follow the A29 for 3 miles.  The Inn On The Green is the second Public House on the left hand side.

From the south and east, follow the A24 north towards Dorking.  The A24 becomes a single carriageway for four miles after it passes Horsham.  When the road becomes a dual carriageway again, look out for the turning for Ockley Station on the left hand side.  Follow this road for two miles until it joins the A29.  Turn left here, and The Inn On The Green is the second Public House on the left hand side.

Leith Hill   (5 minute drive)

Leith HillThe highest point in south-east England, the hill is crowned by an 18th-century Gothic tower, with panoramic views towards London and southwards to the English Channel.  There are colourful displays of rhododendrons and bluebells in May and June. Rugged countryside provides exhilarating walking in woodland and over heath and farmland

Box Hill   (10 minute drive)

Box HillAn outstanding area of woodland and chalk downland, Box Hill has long been famous as a destination for day-trippers from London.  It has much to offer the rambler and naturalist with many beautiful walks and views towards the South Downs. On the summit there is an information centre, shop, cafe and a fort dating from the 1890s.

London Tower BridgeAll the attractions of the capital city are less than an hour away by train.

Express trains to London Victoria and London Waterloo leave Dorking Station every 30 minutes throughout the day.  Trains to London are also available from Ockley Station, which is 2km from The Inn On The Green.
